External Beeswax Medium Bean Thumblatch

Traditionally used on a ledge and braced door, our thumb latch sets include a decorative door latch with a thumb shaped lever. When this lever is pressed down, it operates a thumb bar. The thumb bar passes through the door, lifting the latch bar on the opposite side and allowing the door to open.

• Our Blacksmith thumblatches are hammered into shape from mild steel using a traditional anvil and fire manufacturing method.
• Thumblatches are typically used in conjunction with a T hinge on traditional plank doors.
• Maximum door thickness: 55mm.
• Supplied with matching SS wood screws.
• Our External Beeswax finish is a signature of From The Anvil and is manufactured using our unique anti-corrosive beeswax. Much like our standard Beeswax, it offers a matt richness with a depth of colour, ranging from blue to deep ochre. This natural finish is a far softer alternative to black powder coating.
