Weekend Door Expert, Reading Showroom (New Showroom)


Sunday Position


Todd Doors, the UK’s leading supplier of quality timber doors are recruiting now for an enthusiastic Door Expert to join the team at our new showroom in Reading, selling high quality doors to individuals and trade customers. 

At Todd Doors, we pride ourselves in delivering the very highest levels of customer service and product knowledge. We don’t bother with salesmen, we employ people and create door experts who can take a customer’s ambition and help it become reality. If you have the ability and determination, we will train you in our products and help you build a career.

The successful candidate must deal with customers queries face to face, via the telephone and emails in a confident, efficient, professional, yet friendly manner. Comprehensive sales and product training will be given.

Candidates should be over 16 yrs or over and ideally reside permanently in the Reading area.

The role may suit a local college or 6th Form students or semi-retired individuals.

 

This exciting vacancy has arisen for a product sales professional to become a member of our team and to be involved in our new store.

Our people delight in assisting with all aspects of a customer journey, from initial contact to booking the final delivery in a confident, efficient, professional, yet friendly manner.

We have one Sunday role available, with great prospects for progression, previous experience in the door industry is not necessary.

 

The store will trade:

Mon – Fri 08.00 – 17.00

Sat 09.00 – 17.00

Sun 10.00 – 16.00

 

Hourly Rate at starting is £9.50phr, £10.55 after probation.







Door Expert - Twickenham Showroom

Full- Time Role Available

If you have the ability and determination we will train you in our products and help you build a career.

This exciting vacancy has arisen for an experienced product sales professional to become a member of our team and to be involved in our new store.

The successful candidate will bring their experience of providing great customer service and be from a background of product knowledge driven or technical sales in a similar retail / showroom / face to face environment.

Our people delight in assisting with all aspects of a customer journey, from initial contact to booking the final delivery in a confident, efficient, professional, yet friendly manner.

This is a full-time, permanent role, with great prospects for progression, previous experience in the door industry is not necessary.

The store will trade:

Mon – Fri 08.00 – 17.00
Sat 09.00 – 17.00
Sun 10.00 – 16.00
Working on a rota basis

Salary - £19,760.00 with an increase after probation to £21,944.00 







Assistant Branch Manager, Reading Showroom

Carpentry Administrator – St Albans


Todd Doors, the UK’s leading supplier of quality timber doors are recruiting now for an enthusiastic Carpentry Administrator to join our St Albans based Carpentry team.

The successful candidate will be diligent, have a strong personality and the confidence to interact with other departments in order to “get the job done” at the same time being approachable and personable. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Computer literacy and efficient communication skills are vital to succeed within this opportunity.

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Preferably 10:00 – 14:00.
Salary: £9.50 - £10.55 per hour








Complaints Resolution Manager

At Todd Doors, the UK’s leading supplier of quality timber doors and accessories, we pride ourselves on the customer service we offer. However, as with any company complaints are inevitable and so we are recruiting for experienced Complaints Resolution Manager to head up our customer service team based at our St Albans site.

The successful candidate will bring their wealth of experience of managing a Customer Service/Complaints Department, preferably from a similar sector. Someone forthright and confident, who can make decisions and deal directly with customers to resolve their complaint. An excellent communicator who is able to write comprehensive emails in response to complaints/issues. Ideally with experienced in importing of a high-end product and the challenges that may bring. Our people delight in assisting with all aspects of a customer journey, in a confident, efficient, professional, yet friendly manner.

Reporting to: Head of Purchasing
Location: St Albans
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Salary: £30k - £35k Dependant on experience

Direct Reports: 3 x Customer Service Assistant’s

Role Overview

  • Manage complex customer complaints from their start through to conclusion, by working within the guidelines given on issues and resolutions. Always negotiating for the best outcome for Todd Doors, but not at the expense of our good name. Always manage customer expectations through this process
  • Managing direct reports and ensuring daily / weekly tasks are actioned, and all deadlines met : as per the Customer Service Team list below.
  • Become the “go to” person for customers who require extra attention. Through an assured demeanour, be the person that customers know as the key decision maker
  • Liaise and “negotiate” effectively with suppliers to obtain the best possible outcome to quality complaints by customers
  • Liaise and “negotiate” effectively with other internal departments on behalf of customers to speed orders through the system where necessary. (e.g. getting “special” deliveries out, speeding up carpentry work etc)

Skills Required

  • Ability to manage complex customer complaints independently (training provided on our products, policies and procedures)
  • Excellent communication skills both with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
  • Confident at decision making.
  • Be aware of relevant legislation/Acts
  • Have a professional, mature and assured manner
  • Efficient use of systems, diaries, notebooks etc. to enable accurate records to be maintained.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and ensure others do the same
  • Helpful, cheerful and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to coach, train and motivate staff member
  • Happy working largely unsupervised and office-based.
  • Sympathetic manner in explaining any delays etc. to customers.
  • Comfortable delegating tasks to staff members
